Wireless Internet is coming to Putnam County Schools.
Monday night the school board approved the plan to add wireless to George Washington Elementary and Middle Schools, Hurricane Middle and High Schools, Mountain View Elementary and Winfield High School.
School board president Craig Spicer said the system will be a closed system only for students, teachers and staff.
He said new schools currently under construction will have wireless Internet and the goal is to have it in all county schools when new school construction is finished.
The estimated cost is nearly $400,000.
