Charleston - Huntington, West Virginia -- WOWK -- 13News1 killed in Boone stabbing; 1 arrested

One man was killed in an overnight stabbing in Boone County.

The incident was reported at about 2:30 a.m. near Jeffrey Spencer Elementary School in Hewett.

He was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, dispatchers said.

Dispatchers confirmed one person was arrested.

The Boone County Sheriff's Department is handling the case.
