CHARLESTON -

Charleston was ground zero Wednesday for the state's oil and gas industry leaders.

The Independent Oil and Gas Association's winter meeting was a chance for West Virginia insiders to get up-to-date on the latest in engineering and drilling equipment.

Companies like Consol Energy, Linn Energy and EQT were represented.

"We try to get everyone here and let them know we support the state of West Virginia," said John Haskins, IOGAWV President. "We supply a lot of money in taxes. There is a lot of purpose to the meeting as well as the educational purpose."

The day-long series of meetings filled the Marriott Town Center Hotel.
