The American Civil Liberties Union plays a vital role in our society and their mission is truly noble, but I have to wonder why the state chapter of the ACLU is demanding certain middle schools in our area drop same-sex classes.
When asked, the group offers a flimsy, politically correct excuse. The truth is, only these schools know what works and what doesn't.
Rather than threaten them with legal actions, we should empower our educational leaders to prepare our kids for life in the 21st century.
