Wrecks hampered travel on Father's Day.

Three wrecks Sunday afternoon on Interstate 64 were caused by heavy downpours, authorities said.

The first was reported on I-64 West near mile marker 56 at 12:16 p.m., officials said. It was a single-vehicle accident, where the car hydroplaned.

The second accident happened on I-64 westbound on mile marker 45 near Nitro, according to authorities. It was a three-vehicle accident and has the westbound lanes blocked.

Another wreck happened on mile marker 12 near Huntington's 29th Street exit, according to officials. The accident involved multiple vehicles, one of which rolled over.
