A police pursuit on Interstate 64 led to one arrest and several vehicles with flat tires.
It started a little before noon Sunday when a Kenova police officer spotted a truck which had been reported stolen out of Proctorville, Ohio.
The officer attempted to stop the truck, but the driver fled on I-64 heading eastbound, police said.
The driver of the truck, John McGlone, 29, Chesapeake, Ohio, led officers on a chase with speeds reaching 100 mph, according to police. Officers placed spikes on the Interstate near mile marker 14. McGlone swerved at officers to avoid the spikes.
Four vehicles hit the spikes resulting in flat tires, police said. One of the vehicles was a Kenova Police car.
McGlone got out of the vehicle and fled into the woods where he was caught, according to police.
McGlone is facing several charges in Cabell County including four counts of attempted murder on a police officer, fleeing in a vehicle, fleeing on foot and transferring and receiving stolen property, police said. He will also face charges in Kenova and Proctorville.
McGlone is being held in Western Regional Jail on a $245,000 bond.
The Cabell County Sheriff's Department, West Virginia State Police, Huntington Police Department and Kenova Police Department all assisted in the arrest.
