A woman was flown by helicopter to St. Mary's Medical Center after her car left the road and went over an embankment, according to the Kentucky State Police.
Eva Elliott failed to make a right-hand curve Monday on state Route 172 near West Liberty. That caused her car to hit a guardrail, police said in a news release. The car spun and hit a guardrail, causing it to go backward down an embankment before overturning.
She was flown to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the news release states. The accident remains under investigation.
