Camp Nabe began its 18th year today.

The camp, located in Rush, Ky., is for children ages 8-16 who have experienced loss. It started today and continues until Thursday, June 21.

The camp is operated by Community Hospice and is expecting 25 children. There is no cost to attend.

"Camp Nabe is the most rewarding and challenging thing I have experienced in my work with Hospice," said Jimm Smedley in a news release. "The children are a joy to be around and each has a heartfelt story to share with the group."
