HUNTINGTON, West Virginia -

A family of five escaped from a fire in Huntington Wednesday evening.

The fire started just after 6 p.m. in the 2100 block of Adams Avenue in Huntington, on the city's west end, officials said.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames quickly, and the family escaped without being hurt, according to officials.

There was no word on the cause of the fire.
