A new learning trail for children opened in Ritter Park Thursday morning.
The trail features 10 fun and engaging outdoor games on signs and the walking path to help parents and caregivers create learning opportunities.
The trail is sponsored by members of the United Way and St. Mary's Medical Center.
Children helped cut the ribbon opening the new trail and got free hats, tee shirts, and cake as part of the celebration.
The trail opened on the National Day of Action sponsored by Success By 6.
The activity is open to all ages and is free to the public.
