At a special Huntington City Council meeting on Thursday, a new member was added to the Huntington City Council.
Current members voted Joyce Clark to take the District 1 vacancy.
That spot has been vacant since the recent passing of Jim Ritter.
District 1 represents the Westmoreland area.
Clark's term is thru Dec. 31. She is running unopposed in the November election.
That term would be for four years.
Clark has previously served a term on the Wayne County Board of Education.
