Members of St. Mary's Medical Center gave a special tour of the new Ironton campus following the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
Following a lunch at OU Southern Campus, representatives showed off their new digs for chamber members, local dignitaries, and first responders.
The new facility will be a self-standing 12-bed emergency room with state-of-the-art equipment.
Although its not a hospital, it is a care facility that will be able to treat patients with minor injuries to cardiac and stroke conditions.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for this Sunday at 2 p.m.
