The Tri-state Arts Association hosted a reception on Friday for an exhibit with artists from all over our area. The association featured over 30 artists and 60 pieces of art from paintings to ceramics.

Each artist in the exhibit has been picked and juried by the association to join the group. The hope is to help artists get exposure of their work and inspire creativity to the viewers.

"Hopefully when they come and visit, they see things they like or want to try themselves. Like- 'I would like to try that or I never knew about this artist or this artwork.' That's great!" said Jennifer "J-Bird" Cremeans, who is the president of the Tri-state Arts Association.

The exhibit will run through July 22nd at Gallery 842 in Huntington.
