Little Victories Animal Shelter houses over 250 animals and receives no funding other than donations for the project.
On Saturday, they held a rummage sale to raise money. The community donated all the items in the sale.
Little Victories is expected to raise $7,000. The money raised will go towards veterinary care, which is a big bill when you take care of so many animals.
"All of the animals need shots, worm medication, frontline, and spay and neuter. Imagine how it is with one or two animals how much it would be for 250 animals. We desperately need things like this to support the program," said Sue Brown who is the President of Little Victories.
The rummage sale will continue on Sunday at the Cecil Underwood Senior Center in Huntington.
