The West Virginia State Police along with other agencies like the U.S. Marshals Service conducted a warrant sweep in Cabell County and the surrounding areas.
Police said they warrants range from credit card crimes, to burglaries, to sexual assaults. Multiple arrests were made, police said.
Trooper Will Hash told 13NEWS that the element of surprise is key. He said when most people are getting up and going to church on a Sunday morning, they will be finding those with felony warrants that have tried to evade police.
Troopers said the marshals are involved because some of the people have entered and are living in surrounding states.
Hash said the search is centered around the east end of Huntington, the west end of Huntington, and the surrounding areas.
