Former Nitro pitcher/catcher, Korey Dunbar, earned his third player of the year award.
On Sunday, Dunbar was named the West Virginia Play of the Year, voted by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.
Dunbar also earned the Daily Mail's Kanawha Valley Player of the Year and the Gatorade West Virginia Player of the Year awards.
He batted .462 with nine home runs and struck out 98 this past spring.
Dunbar was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 39th round (1196 overall) earlier this month, but has decided to go use his scholarship and play for the University of North Carolina.
