Braxton County-based Mountaineer Food Bank is one of 500 nonprofit finalists in Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program.
The automaker is giving 100 cars to 100 vehicles over the course of 100 days. Mountaineer Food Bank was selected as a finalist from more than 4,000 applications nationwide according to a news release from Mountaineer Food Bank.
The program is profiling five finalists each day at www.100carsforgood.com. The public gets to vote for the nonprofit they believe can do the most good with a new vehicle. The nonprofit group with the most votes at the end of each day will win one of six Toyota models. Runners-up will each receive a $1,000 cash grant from Toyota.
Mountaineer Food Bank will be featured on June 26 only. Voting time is from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
To cast a vote, visit www.mountaineerfoodbank.org and click on the 100 Cars for Good logo (a Facebook account and login is required). Click on "vote", near the top left hand side of the 100 Cars for Good logo, scroll down and click on "Mountaineer Food Bank", click on "vote" and "confirm."
