Drivers should be aware of traffic impacts this week due to several road improvement projects across northeast Kentucky.
Pavement improvements on nearly four miles of U.S. 23 in Greenup County will require one-lane travel north of Greenup through the end of June between KY 3116 South and KY 3116 North in the Lloyd-Grays Branch area.
Paving operations are expected to be complete by Thursday, June 28th, weather permitting.
In Boyd County, drivers using KY 168 (Blackburn Avenue) in Ashland should expect one-lane work zones from U.S. 23 to 13th Street for the installation of handicap-accessible ramps on sidewalks, from 13th Street toward South 29th Street.
Paving operations to follow by mid-July.
During that work, Blackburn Avenue will be one lane in work areas from about 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday with traffic controlled by flaggers.
