The Ashland, Boyd County, Catlettsburg Emergency Management Office is alerting the public of a ban on outdoor burning.
The ban is due to extremely dry weather conditions, the high risk of wildfire, and the danger to firefighters.
Anyone who disobeys the open burn ban will be charged with a misdemeanor by any State, Local, or County Law Enforcement.
The ban is in effect until further notice from the Emergency Management Office.
