ST. ALBANS, West Virginia -
Several outdoor event are planned this week in communities across our area.
That means thousands of people will be out in the dangerously hot temperatures forecasted for the next few days.
Organizers of the popular St. Albans Riverfest have ordered extra water and ice to help keep workers, volunteers and the public safe. They also have air conditioned tents.
They plan to have emergency crews on hand in case anyone gets too hot.
Organizers of the Hurricane Volunteer Fire Department's annual carnival are taking similar precautions.
