Cedar Lakes Conference Center will transported to the Spanish world for the first ever West Virginia Spanish Immersion Camp.

The camp, being put on by the West Virginia Department of Education, takes two students from all 55 counties and puts them in an all-Spanish environment.

They can only speak Spanish, and will not be allowed to have cell phones or other electronic devices. They will eat the food, learn the history, and experience the customs of Spanish-speaking countries.

The camp starts June 27 and ends July 3. For more information contact Liza Cordeiro in the WVDE Communications Office at 304-558-2699 or 304-807-6988.
