A member of Hurricane City Council has been charged with two counts of solicitation of a minor via computer.

Scott Cunningham was arrested at about 1 p.m. this afternoon as a result of an investigation by the West Virginia State Police.

"We fully support the judicial system and are waiting for it to take its course," said Hurricane Mayor Scott Edwards.

Cunningham has been on Hurricane City Council one year.
