Federal officials will dedicate the new Federal Bureau of Investigation Charleston Resident Agency building to fallen FBI Special Agent Jerry L. Dove, according to a news release.
The dedication will take place on Thursday at 10 a.m.
According to the release, "On April 11, 1986, Special Agents Jerry Dove and Benjamin P. Grogan were killed in the line of duty during a gun battle with robbery suspects in southwest Miami, Florida. Special Agent Dove was a native of Charleston, W.Va. and earned degrees from Marshall University and West Virginia University."
The building is located at 113 Virginia Street East in Charleston.
