A pastor in Hurricane is alleging Family Court Judge William M. "Chip" Watkins III acted unprofessionally while sitting on the bench.
A video that was posted to YouTube shows Watkins yelling at Arthur Hage during a court hearing.
"I'm above that sort of thing!" Watkins said in the video. "I'm above ... shut up. I didn't tell you to talk! Did I tell you to talk?"
In the video, Watkins said an article printed in a newspaper included a photo of his home and of his family.
"You put a picture of my house ... because of you, because of you, my house has been vandalized four times. Do you realize that? I'm sure you're probably in on that laughing about it," Watkins continued in the video.
Hage said he had nothing to do with the article, and just wants fair treatment by an unbiased and professional judge.
Hage's wife, Lillian, alleges he abused both her and their daughters in December 2010. Hage says these claims are false.
Hage said Watkins filed a protective order against him hastily and without merit, and that there were no witnesses to any of the alleged abuse.
Since the video became public, some have sided with Hage, but some see the judge's perspective.
Hage wants an order rescinding the protective order against him. He said he wants a fair and unbiased judge to hear his case.
