A group of volunteers is bicycling across the country to raise awareness about affordable housing. Members made a stop in Huntington on Wednesday to help out.
The Bike and Build organization will travel 70 days across the U.S. and will help to build houses for low-income families.
On Wednesday, the group spent the day at two Habitat for Humanity builds in the Huntington area. Members are hoping to spread the word that affordable housing is a basic necessity that should be available for everyone.
"For me, having a roof over your head enables you to do other things in your life. Like getting a job and being able to sleep at night afterwards," said Nevena Pilipovic.
