A crew from Alabama will spend a week in Huntington to help some residents with repair or maintenance on their homes.
World Changers has been working on several houses whose owners either have low incomes or are not physically capable to do the work themselves. The group paints and does renovations on houses that the city of Huntington and World Changers chose for the project.
A volunteer said Wednesday that she's glad that she is able to help. "It's very rewarding. This homeowner has had lunch with us and met us in the morning. All homeowners don't do that. It's rewarding to do things for the homeowners that they're not able to do," said Trish Trull, the crew chief for World Changers.
The group will be in Huntington until Saturday, June 30.
