AAA: Gas prices continue falling in WV

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia -

Filling your vehicle with gas has been less painful in recent weeks.

That's because for the past 12 weeks the price of gas has dropped 50 cents a gallon.

Jan Vineyard of the West Virginia Oil Marketers and Grocers Association said there are several reasons for the drop in price like the demand has decreased and world trouble spots have settled down.

We found the price of gas in Lawrence County, Ohio, at $3.07 a gallon.  According to AAA's Fuel Gauge Report, the price of gas in Charleston is $3.47 cents a gallon, and in the Huntington/Ashland, Ky., area it's $3.33 a gallon.

Vineyard said for every dollar the price of crude oil goes down motorists will see a 2.4 cent a gallon price drop at the pump.
