Cabell county senior citizens have options when it comes to finding ways to stay cool.

In Huntington, the Underwood Senior Center offers daily activities for them to stay cool while having fun.

Seniors enjoyed lunch followed by an afternoon of ballroom dancing Thursday.

Organizers said seniors can be at risk of overheating in the summer months, so it's best for them to do outside activities in the morning hours and stay inside in the afternoon.

They said there are several places around Cabell county for seniors to beat the heat, including the Marie Redd Center, another in Milton, and one in Salt Rock.
