The West Virginia State Police today identified the victims of Wednesday's triple-murder in Webster County.

Dustin Brown, 26, Lamar D. Allen (also known as Elle Coates), 49, and Denise L. Coates, 49, all of Hacker Valley were killed at about 6:30 p.m., according to a news release from the State Police.

Michael York, 44, and his wife, Amanda York, 28, have each been charged with three counts of murder in the case, the news release states. Michael York also was charged with one count of concealment of a body.

Amanda York called Webster County 911 at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and said she had shot the victims after they made threats, according to the news release.

A 5-year-old in the home, however, told police that Michael York was the one who killed the three people, the news release states.

Amanda York later told police that she told her husband to go to Kentucky while she stayed in Webster County to hide one of the bodies, according to the news release. She then told investigators that Michael York had actually hidden the body before leaving and that she had tried to help him.

Michael York was arrested on Interstate 79 in Clay County several hours after the shooting, the news release states.
