Residents in one home on Jackson Avenue in west Huntington are lucky that no one got hurt after a tree and several large branches fell on to their house and truck.

Jimmie Meadows watched the storm approach, which caused transformers to spark and debris to be tossed around. Right before the storm hit, his children were swimming in the pool near the area where the tree fell.

Luckily, everyone was in the house before a tree collapsed on his home and truck, and now it's time to clean up.

"There are other trees that have to come out, the truck is totaled, and the garage needs to be repaired. There's roof damage that needs to be repaired, the siding, and we have to get attached to the main power line again," Jimmie said.

Jimmie planned on removing one of the trees that fell on his day off, but the storm got to it first.
