Kanawha County Emergency Operation is reporting that there is a current issue with Frontier phone lines using the 756 exchange in Kanawha County. The 256 exchange can call other 756 exchange numbers but not outside the exchange.
So those in Kanawha County in the 756 exchange area that has an emergency should call the Alum Creek Fire Station at 304-590-9426 or 304-767-3651., and the fire station will be in contact with 911 via radio communications in order to dispatch the necessary emergency response.
Also Gallia County in Ohio is experiencing problems with it's 911 emergency phone lines as well as cell phones. At this time, the regular seven digit phone line are still operational.
Some people are experiencing issues using cell phones to contact the following numbers. resident should use land line if available. Any one with an emergency should use the following numbers to contact the Gallia County 911 center.
