The widespread power outages have helped bring some neighborhoods and communities closer together.

A couple people were helping a fellow Huntington resident on Sunday morning with some repairs to a damaged roof that happened on Friday evening.

Other residents we talked to said they've seen many instances over the last couple of days of those without power being offered food, water, and even a place to stay during their time of need.

"Its neighbors being neighbors. You help each other out because you never know when you may need a hand yourself," said Huntington resident Damon Core.

Core started his day telling church members service was canceled.
