Newly elected Nitro Mayor Dave Casebolt fired Police Chief Jack Jordan this morning in a move he called administrative.
"(The) service he provided the city over the past year -- This was an administrative decision," Casebolt said.
Capt. Brian Oxley will serve as interim police chief during the next few weeks while Casebolt interviews chief candidates, the new mayor said.
