Recent events have supplies at the Huntington-Area Food Bank running extremely low.
Workers say they started distributing water and drinks last week during the outbreak of high temperatures, and due to recent storm damage and power outages, people are now in need of food, drinks and supplies.
The food bank serves 17 counties in three states.
They say they have contacted other agencies to step in and help, but still want the public to know they can make donations to help out.
Workers say they have some canned foods that need cooked before eaten, but are looking for foods like prepared soups and food items that can be eaten without being cooked.
They say anyone who wants to donate to contact the Huntington-Area Food Bank.
