When the temperatures get this hot, ice can be a lifesaver.
However, one large distributor is finding itself out in the cold.
Home City Ice sends ice to stores throughout a 200-mile radius of its distribution center in Milton, but Friday's storms knocked out the power meaning they can't make ice.
Operations Manager Josh Spence says the company is buying ice from 11 states, from as far away as Louisiana to meet the demand.
Spence expects ice to be a hot commodity once the plant is back up and running.
