No one should be upset because no one picked the correct numbers to win the large Powerball jackpot last night. It didn't stop people from walking up to the lottery outlets to buy a chance at a multi-million
The town of Spencer in Roane County is helping those still impacted by Friday's storms.
Water is available to those in need behind the city building. Official advice the public to bring their own jugs. It will be available until power outages are restored.
Gas should be available at both Main Street Exxon/Little General and Go-Mart on Tuesday.
The Spencer Pool will be open until 7 p.m.. Showers are also available for those in need. The pool will be free through Wednesday, July 4.
The Committee on Aging in Spencer will be open as a cooling station Tuesday until 4 p.m.
Both the power company and the cable company are aware of their outages and are working diligently to restore services.
Independence Day festivities on July 3 and 4 are still scheduled to happen in Spencer.
