A Kanawha County man has been sentenced to federal prison for possessing child pornography.
U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said 55-year-old Richard Paul Diaz of St. Albans was sentenced to six years in prison. That will be followed by 15 years of supervised release, according to a news release from Goodwin's office on Monday.
Diaz pleaded guilty in April. In 2010, Diaz was reportedly caught with more than 600 images and videos depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct on his computer.
