AEP Ohio has restored power to approximately 55 percent of the 660,000 customers affected by the storms that moved through the region on June 29 and the additional 20,000 impacted by the July 1 storm.
Company officials said the work reflects updates through 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Stormtracker 13 meteorologists continue to show the threat of possible thunderstorms through the end of the week. "Temperatures are forecasted to remain in the mid-90s throughout this period," said Stormtracker 13 meteorologist Bryan Hughes.
Approximately 297,000 customers were without power at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
