Demolition slated for Golden Girl Group Home in Ceredo

Demolition has begun in preparation for a new transitional living facility at the site of the Golden Girl Group Home in Ceredo.

The new facility will allow residents to live independently while pursuing college or vocational school options. 

Nitro Electric, Toyota, State Electric, Ferguson Brothers and WV Steel have partnered to donate their time and labors to design and build the new facility, according to a news release.

Golden Girl is part of the West Virginia Child Care Association and the Child Welfare League of America, helping girls make successful adjustments in their natural homes or foster care homes.
