Power companies are continuing to update updated their outages and service restoration estimates:
In West Virginia, 152,468 Appalachian Power customers still were without power as of Wednesday evening, according to the power company's website. Half of Appalachian Power customers whose electrical service was disrupted by Friday's storms have been restored. Appalachian Power estimates that 95 percent of customers should have power restored by late Sunday.
Estimated power restoration times for West Virginia are:
- Friday night, July 6 – Greenbrier, McDowell, Mercer, Monroe, Putnam and Summers counties
- Saturday night, July 7 – Boone, Cabell, Jackson, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, Mingo and Wayne counties
- Sunday night, July 8 – Clay, Kanawha, Fayette, Nicholas, Raleigh, Roane and Wyoming counties
Also in West Virginia, Mon Power reported 89,511 West Virginia customers still without power. Estimated restoration for all Mon Power customers is Sunday night, July 8, according to the company's website.
In the Bluegrass State, 2,511 Kentucky Power customers still are in the dark, according to the company's website.
Estimated power restoration times for Kentucky are:
- Wednesday, July 4 – Floyd County
- Thursday, July 5 – Boyd, Carter, Greenup, Lawrence and Pike counties
- Friday, July 6 – Martin County
As of Thursday morning, about 144,000 AEP Ohio customers affected by Friday's storm had still were without power, according to the company. The company estimates that 90 percent of affected customers would have their power restored by midnight Saturday, July 7.
Estimated power restoration times for Ohio are:
- Friday night, July 6 – Athens, Gallipolis, Lancaster, Marietta, Pomeroy
- Tuesday night, July 10 – Wellston
Also in Ohio, Buckeye Rural Electric is continuing to restore power to storm victims. As of Tuesday evening, the company reported 2,600 customers still were without power. About 5,000 customers had their power restored Tuesday.
