The West Virginia Division of Highways has begun the process of reopening the Dunbar-South Charleston Bridge on Interstate 64 West.
All four lanes will be open during peak travel times, according to the DOH.
The project was started a couple of years ago.
Lane closures should still be expected during non-peak travel hours, and that the project should be finished by August, according to the DOH.
Workers are asking drivers to stay alert, because the traffic patterns will change over the next few weeks.
