Fiery crash closed WV Turnpike Tuesday evening for several hours - WOWK 13 Charleston, Huntington WV News, Weather, Sports

A tractor-trailer crashed on the West Virginia Turnpike Tuesday evening.

It happened at about 8 p.m. in the north lanes of the Turnpike. It shut down the road at the 78 mile marker according to State Police, just past the Sharon exit.

There were no reports of any serious injuries but the traffic really backed up.

The turnpike reopened just before 11 p.m.
