Workers at the Huntington City Mission got the holiday off thanks to help from volunteers.
Members of the Olive Baptist Church in Cabell County brought grills and cooked hot dogs and hamburgers with all the fixings.
They say they wanted to help those who help others on a daily basis.
One member says church members try to do this every year to give mission workers the day off to spend with their families.
