Christmas comes early for drivers if they're traveling through West Virginia on Independence Day.
According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded fuel is now $3.37, down 8.7 cents from last week. Despite the fact, West Virginia's pump prices are nearly five cents higher than the nationwide average; they are now 20 cents lower than last year.
But prices run the gamut across the state. In Clarksburg, a gallon costs $3.26; in Martinsburg, prices jumped to $3.50 a gallon.
