BUFFALO -

The Fourth of July celebration in Buffalo went on as planned despite the extreme heat.

After the parade the crowds made their way to Buffalo Town Park where there were inflatables for the kids to cool off, and groups sold food and cold drinks.

While some in the Buffalo area are still without power, ice and water are in short supply, so representatives from the Buffalo Youth League decided to sell water and they did a booming business.

"People just want a cold ice water to drink.  We're not trying to sell them at a high rate.  We're selling them at a dollar a piece and try to pretty much we feel provide a service which is cold water for those who want it," said Debbie Parsons, a member of the Buffalo Youth League fundraising committee.

Parsons said cold water sales will help pay for things like light and equipment for the new league.

Other groups also sold cold drinks during Buffalo's Fourth of July celebration.
