Three escape massive fire in a home on Walnut Street in Kanawha County
Christ Temple Church in Huntington hosted it's second Annual Freedom Celebration. The event featured live music, a ceremony to honor the service people, and free food and inflatables.
Children who were patients at Cabell Huntington Hospital got a special police escort to the church to see the fireworks display.
Organizers hoped that this event allowed the community to celebrate Independence Day in a family-friendly way.
"We wanted to do something to give back to the area. This is our way of showing an appreciation to the community and bringing everyone together in what we believe in, and in honor of our country,"said Anneliese Lawrence, who helped to organize the event.
The church participates in several missions to other countries and wanted a way to show the community they appreciate them.
