Huntington Police looking for a murder suspect

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia -

Huntington Police are looking for 20-year old Quazaa Farrow of Maryland because he's a suspect in the shooting of a 25-year old Huntington man on 18th street early Thursday morning. The man later died at the hospital.  At this time police are not releasing the victim's name.

"Witness statements identify him as the actual shooter in this case.  It is the result of an altercation between the two men of a personal nature.  We cannot be 100 per cent sure what that entailed at this time, but we have credible information that they knew each other," said Lieutenant John Williams of the Huntington Police Department.

"Cops out with guns and drawn, it's scary," said Eva Layne of Huntington

She lives on Tenth Avenue in Huntington, a few houses away from where investigators served a warrant because they believed Farrow may be there.  Layne later found out about police being in her neighborhood.

"Really!  Really! In this area!  It's unusual.  You wouldn't think it would happen here.  It's a quiet area," said Layne.

At the Tenth Avenue incident police arrested Nakesha Jobe, charging her with the misdemeanor accessory after the fact for allegedly giving Farrow a ride after the shooting.  Now they say they need to find Farrow as soon as possible

"The longer it goes on he has time to get out.  He's from Maryland.  He may still have people there and possibility with some ties to Michigan.  There are a number of places he can go, but we just want to get him off the streets as soon as possible." said Lieutenant Williams.

Williams said police have information that Farrow may be in the Ashland area.

Farrow is six feet tall and weighs 160 pounds.  He has brown eyes and black hair.  He's also known as "Q".  He has a "grim reaper" tattoo on his upper right arm and he has "two pistols pointing downwards" tattoo on his abdomen.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Quazaa Farrow, you are asked to call Huntington Police at 304-696-4420.
