An extreme heat warning has been issued for Kanawha County from noon until 8:00 PM, with temperatures reaching 100 degrees with a heat index of 105. Kanawha County Emergency Officials are encouraging those who are still without power go to a Cooling Stations and Shelters to seek relief from the heat, and should also check on your neighbors and family members who lives by themselves. Ice and Water Distribution Centers will be open in Kanawha County today at the following locations beginning at 8:00 am.
