Dozens of cyclists took to the streets for the Tour de Path for the Paul Ambrose Trail for Health, Saturday morning in Huntington. The event helped raise money towards the map creation of the trail.
Families with beginner cyclists or the more adventurous types were welcome. The cycling tour took place once before in 2010 and organizers are hoping to revive it to boost this type of activity in the city.
"We hope to encourage the use of the path for fun, fitness, and travel. That's the goal. To support cycling and encourage cycling in the city," said tour organizer, Stacy Garrett.
There were 3 course options for the cyclists including a six- or eight-mile street course and a nine-mile adventure course, all with a police escort.
