More than 300 people got to restock their refrigerators and pantries for free, after losing food following this week's power outages.
People started lining up at Tabernacle of Praise in Cross Lanes at 7:30 Saturday morning —an hour and a half before the event actually started.
The organization usually holds a free food giveaway every three weeks. It just so happened Saturday's giveaway fell on a weekend that followed major power outages throughout the county.
"It's just wonderful. People just call and say thank you very much. They're really appreciative," said Debbie Mullins, who organized the event. "And they call they're friends, so it's growing."
Tabernacle of Praise worked in conjunction with Mountaineer Food Bank, which provided the majority of the donations.
